Until recently a Buddhist mountain kingdom, Sikkim is situated between Nepal and Bhutan. From a low of 800 ft. above sea level to the Summit of Mt. Kanchendzonga (28,169 ft.), the guardian deity of Sikkim and the third tallest peak in the world. Mountains criss-cross the country that is rich in flora and fauna, stunning mountains, beautiful valleys, clear lakes and lush evergreen forests.

In high altitudes where yaks graze are found the snow leopard, the blue sheep, goral, tahr and the red panda the state animal of Sikkim. ENTRY FORMALITIES

All foreigners intending to visit Sikkim can avail of 15 days permit. Temits for FITS and groups for restricted areas i.e. Phodong, Gantok, Rumtek and Pemayangtse can be obtained 24 hours in advance from all Indiasn Misions abroad with requiste documents.

	Day 01		Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and transfer to border. After permit formalities drive to Gantok ( 123 Km ). O/N at Gantok.
	Day 02		A full day sightseeing at Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten and Deer Park.
	Day 03		Drive to Yuksam via Tashiding Monastery. O/N at Yuksam.
	Day 04		Start treks O/N camping at Tshoka.
	Day 05		Tshoka - Dzongri. O/N camping at Dzongri.
	Day 06		Dzongri - Thansing. O/N camping at Thansing.
	Day 07		Thansing - Dzongri. O/N Camping at Dzongri.
	Day 08		Dzongri - Yuksom. O/N at Yuksom.
	Day 09		Drive to Darjeeling via Temayangtse Monastery.
