Bhaktapur's Durbar Square was added to the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1979. Its Durbar Square is home to elaborately carved 55-window palace and the famous Golden Gate, the Big Bell as well as numerous temples. In Taumadi Square lies the 5 storey Nyatapola Temple, Nepal’s tallest pagoda temple.
